崔维成

崔维成教授,男,1963年出生,江苏省海门市人,博士,上海海洋大学深渊科学技术研究中心主任,主要从事大深度无人/载人潜水器的研制与海洋结构物疲劳寿命预报统一方法研究。曾负责过30多个国家级或省部级重大或重点项目的研制,是“蛟龙号”载人潜水器总体与集成项目负责人,第一副总设计师,曾经担任过中国船舶科学研究中心副所长和所长职务,有丰富的从事科学研究、工程项目管理和行政管理的经验。曾被聘为教育部首批“长江学者特聘教授”。现任国际船舶结构会议(ISSC)和国际水下技术(UT)会议常委,国际杂志《Ocean Engineering》副主编,另外五本国际杂志«Marine Structures»,«Journal of Marine Science and Technology»,«Journal of Engineering for the Maritime Environment»«Ships & Offshore Structures» «Marine and Atmosphere Systems»编委; 多本国内杂志如«中国造船»编委; «中国海洋工程»编委, «船舶力学»副主任委员。发表各类学术论文400百篇。获省部级科技进步特等奖1次,一等奖1次,二等奖5次,三等奖3次,以及多项荣誉称号。

目前以科研为主,给本科生开设一些讲座,如《载人潜水器的过去、现在与未来》、《深渊科学科技简介》、《船舶与海洋工程装备简介》、《理想与人生》、《信念的力量》、《现代西方科学的局限》、《东西方哲学的比较》、《业力管理》、《如何建设和谐社会》等。

March 2013 - Shanghai Ocean University

Dean of Hadal Science and Technology Research Center

Working in the field of developing full ocean depth unmanned and manned submersibles and these tools will be used to promote the development of hadal science in China.

October 2002 – March, 2013: China Ship Scientific Research Center

Deputy Director (2007.1- 2012.8); Director (2004.3-2006.12); Deputy Director (2002.10-2004.2). Working in the development of "Jiaolong deep manned submersible" and in the unified approach of fatigue life prediction of marine structures and application of multidisciplinary design optimization to deep manned submersibles and also working in areas of Marine Structural Reliability, Systematic Investigation of Ultimate Strength Analysis Methods, Hydroelastic Response Analyses of Very Large Floating Structures. About 20 papers per year have been published in various journals and conference proceedings.

 

June 1999 – September 2002: School of Naval Architecture & Ocean Engineering, Shanghai Jiao Tong University

Professor of "Changjiang Professorship" and deputy dean. Working in areas of Marine Structural Reliability, Systematic Investigation of Ultimate Strength Analysis Methods, Hydroelastic Response Analyses of Very Large Floating Structures. About 30 papers have been published in various journals and conference proceedings.

 

Feb. 1993 - May 1999 :  China Ship Scientific Research Center

Working in areas of Reliability Analysis of Ship Structures and Applications of Composite Materials to Marine Structures. Recent interests are also dedicated to the Fatigue Strength Assessment of Ship Structures and the Ultimate Strength Analysis of Plates, Stiffened Panels and Ship Hulls. The following subjects are of particular relevance: Reliability Analysis and Design; Mechanics of Composite Materials; Finite Element Methods; Structural Analysis; Fatigue and Fracture, Theory of Probability and Statistics; and so on. During this period, extensive use of ISPUD program was made in carrying out the reliability analysis of various ship structures. A new method based on the idea of direct numerical integration was also implemented in ISPUD program which can compute the probability of failure more accurately than the importance sampling method if the number of random variables does not exceed 7. About 30 papers have been published in various journals and conference proceedings.

 

Jan. 1997 - July 1997: Department of Naval Architecture and Offshore Engineering, University of California at Berkeley

Working on the project of “Ship Structural Fabrication and Ship Structural Details”. My main work is the establishment of limit state equations with explicit consideration of fabrication tolerances. Unstiffened plates and stiffened panels have been studied extensively. Furthermore, with regard to the treatment of compromise between cost and fabrication tolerances, a new mathematical model is proposed. During this period, 5 papers and 4 reports have been completed.

 

Feb. 1990 - Jan. 1993 : Post-doctorate fellow. Department of Aerospace Engineering, University of Bristol

Working on the project of "Multiaxial static and fatigue strength prediction of composites with tapered thickness ". My main responsibility is to establish theoretical models to predict the static and fatigue strength of composite laminates with tapered thickness. The work includes finite element analysis using ABAQUS, failure criteria, fracture mechanics and fatigue. Most of the current work concerns with delamination which is one of the most dominant failure modes in composite structures. During this period, 17 papers have been published in various journals and conference proceedings.

 

May 1988 - Feb. 1990:  Postgraduate : Department of Civil Engineering, University of Bristol

Working in the Systems and Artificial Intelligence group. The title of the Ph.D thesis is: Uncertainty Analysis in structural safety assessment. This has involved applying techniques from the following areas: Uncertainty calculus and representation; Classical structural reliability analysis; Structural safety assessment; Expert systems; Fuzzy mathematical programming. During this period, an Interval Probability Theory was developed. An expert system shell called FRISP was developed in Prolog. This expert system shell is a powerful tool to help make decisions under uncertain environments with the theoretical support of Interval Probability Theory. An extensive study was also made on the ISPUD program initially developed by Prof. G.I.Scheuler and his co-workers. I had transferred the original VAX version into PC version. Some modifications and improvements have been made. 3 papers have been published in the International Journal.

 

Oct 1987 - May 1988: Postgraduate: Department of Civil Engineering, Imperial College

Working in the Systems and Mechanics division of the Civil Engineering Department. I investigated the application of fuzzy set theory to civil engineering problems.
