刘必林，副教授，博士，美国缅因大学高级访问学者。2006年7月参加工作，上海海洋大学海洋科学学院海洋渔业科学技术系教师，大洋渔业资源可持续开发教育部重点实验室年龄鉴定与生活史研究中心负责人。长期从事海洋生物学、渔业资源生物学、渔业资源年龄鉴定与生活史、头足类基础生物学生态学的研究。主持科研项目10余项，作为骨干参与国家自然科学基金、国家863计划等项目多项；获省部级科技进步一等奖、二等奖、三等奖多次；发表中文核心期刊论文90余篇，SCI论文30余篇；出版专著6本；获发明专利5项。国内首创了一套规范的头足类年龄鉴定技术体系，创建了基于形态学的多因子种群划分指标体系；建立了一套成熟的硬组织微量元素分析方法，创建基于硬组织微化学的头足类栖息环境、迁徙策略和摄食生态分析体系。
